When it comes to managing your capital, we are not rigidly bound to established Wall Street philosophies such as "growth" or "value" style investing. We instead follow a more balanced and common sense approach.

Simply put: we do everything we can to help our clients avoid losing money and instead make money carefully, steadily, over time. In other words, our mission is to guard your capital and grow your wealth.

We believe that prudent risk management is the cornerstone of sound investment management. We don't chase the "hot" growth investments because what is hot at any given time is typically over-rated in terms of real investment worth, or the financial fundamentals for growth and profitability are purely speculative. Moreover, we don't try to "time the market" because market timing has proven to be a costly practice. In fact, it has been shown to be virtually impossible to accomplish even for the experts.

Our goal is to keep your portfolio diversified and in balance. Depending on the clients objectives, we don't overload investment dollars in any one stock or industry category. We typically recommend fixed income securities as well as stocks. And we usually advise that a portion of your investments be made in markets overseas, such as Europe. The obvious advantage -- your portfolio will be less vulnerable to big drops in value when there is a downturn in any one economic sector or region of the world.

2. Managing Your Wealth

To help grow your wealth, we do the patient, painstaking work it takes to find, carefully evaluate and select investments that are sound -- the investments that have "quality" written all over them. In other words, there should be a lower risk of losing your principal and a very good chance that your principal will produce increased market value and earnings over time.

Selecting these quality investments is no easy task. But the feeling is great when you know your investments are solid -- when you're confident your investments can grow substantially when the market is up and be able to hold more of their value when the market turns down.
